Don’t Miss “America’s (Secretly) Best Festival:” Hopscotch Music Festival
September 7, 2016 | grubb
Described as "the premier experimental and underground festival in America," Hopscotch Music Festival may be the best fest you've never heard of. Even though it's now in its seventh year, Hopscotch has remained relatively small. You can walk between all 12 venues participating in this year's festival, including the Red Hat Amphitheater.
The Red Hat will host the festival's headliners, which include Erykah Badu and Gary Clark, Jr. this year. Nearby on the fresh-air stage in Raleigh City Plaza, you can experience the melodies of Wold Parade, Sylvan Esso, and The Dead Tongues, to name a few. Other stages throughout the city will showcase everyone from Young Thug to Andrew Bird, so consider carefully the day's performers before buying a single-day pass—or opt for a three-day pass to see everyone.
