Celebrate with Food and Music at the African American Cultural Festival
September 1, 2016 | grubb
Food, dance, and music serve as the keystones of the celebration at the African American Cultural Festival in Raleigh. Held on September 3 and 4, the African American Cultural Festival offers a mix of musical performances, fun activities, African American arts and crafts, and plenty of grub.
At the Family Village, storytellers and dance troupes will both be performing, but you can also make your own crafts and take home handmade pieces of art when you visit the various tents. Grab some fresh food from the restaurant tents and then head to the main stage for some music. On Saturday night, Tish Songbird and the Applauze headline the show, and on Sunday, Maimouna Youseff and Tony Lelo close the festival.
